Frisco Square is designed to serve as the vibrant physical and symbolic heart of Frisco, Texas, drawing inspiration from traditional Texas county seats and the iconic Main Streets found in walkable downtowns across the United States. This dynamic, mixed-use development integrates residential, retail, and civic spaces within a pedestrian-friendly environment, fostering a strong sense of community and identity. With its focus on creating an active public realm, Frisco Square aspires to be a lively destination, thriving throughout the day and week.

The project emphasizes the careful design of buildings that reflect a variety of architectural styles, cultivating an authentic and engaging downtown atmosphere. While each structure maintains its distinct architectural character, the overarching vision ensures cohesion and a unified sense of place. This thoughtful approach enhances the long-term quality and value of the neighborhood, providing enduring benefits for the entire community.

Brian O’Looney played a pivotal role in shaping Frisco Square. While at David Schwarz Architects, he contributed to the master planning and entitlement of the development. During his tenure at Torti Gallas, he authored the Pattern Book and served as Town Architect for the Residential District, which includes 1,600 units of apartments, condominiums, townhouses, live-work spaces, and neighborhood retail. O’Looney also collaborated with other architects as Design Architect for the District’s buildings and façades, ensuring the execution of a cohesive architectural vision with meticulous attention to detail.

Frisco Square represents a successful synthesis of traditional urban principles and contemporary needs, offering a timeless, walkable, and community-oriented downtown for Frisco.
